Career: The sum total of your life experiences. It includes: paid/unpaid work, volunteering, relationships, education, and leisure activities.

It is never too early to ask, “How do I plan for the rest of my life?” It is the goal of Solutions to equip students and families with the information and resources that will enable each student to create their own personalized blueprint for life after high school. As an adjunct to current school district’s services, our flexible schedules allow us to meet with students at a time that works around the busy demands of classroom work, sports, after-school jobs, and family commitments.

The number of individual Solutions clients continues to grow, and thanks to the support of administrators and educators, we now bring career and college search programs to middle schools, high schools and community based organizations to schools from San Marcos to Santee and from Pt. Loma to Rancho Penasquitos; each year, we expand our services and resources to individuals and additional sites. Since its inception in July 2006, we have continued to develop and refine a variety of programs to ignite students’ enthusiasm and curiosity for the future, starting as early as the 7th Grade.

Whether you are a parent, student, educator or service organization interested in helping young people in your community, Solutions offers you a wide range of career and college services at no charge, including:

Career Exploration

  • One-on-one individual career education

It is all about information! Students start their research with one of our team members using a proprietary career website. Solutions team members guide students through the website assessment tools and evaluate and review their results and an initial list of careers of interest and related majors or post-high school programs is created. Individuals will then have the opportunity to continue exploring the comprehensive post-secondary education information and its detailed occupational profiles from home.
Solutions welcomes voluntary tax-deductible contributions for one-on-one services.

  • Customized school and small group career investigation presentations
    (see San Diego Union-Tribune article)

Presentations are tailored to the needs of each organization or school and utilize engaging interactive web programs, activities and discussion to initiate early career exploration. Students are able to participate in an interest survey, investigate and research occupations related to their interests and financial goals, gather and record information such as salaries, suggested high school courses, training or educational requirements and college majors for careers of interest, including how and where they can best prepare for those careers.
Solutions welcomes voluntary tax-deductible contributions for one-on-one services.

Solutions programs have been presented at the following middle schools, high schools and community based organizations:
Bernardo Heights Middle School - Poway
San Elijo Middle School – San Marcos
Del Dios Middle School - Escondido
